Welcome to Episode Two: Schisms, which continues my xover story: May The Force Be With You---Forever. You really need to have read the 13-part Episode One to understand Episode Two. But, just in case you *did* read One and have only a vague memory of it due to my incredible slowness as a writer of fanfic....

Summary:

In Episode One: The Visitor, Nick found himself pulled from his own dying body at the end of the series' final episode: Last Knight. He woke up in another universe wearing an alien being's form: a Jedi Padawan named Inav Ayar, who was murdered just days before his knighting. Nick found friendship with Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn, Jinn's own padawan: Obi-Wan Kenobi, and the real Ayar's ghost; all of whom took up his defense against a mixed reception by a Jedi Council that feared he was too influenced by Darkness. At the end of Episode One, Nick was given three weeks to prove that he was not a threat to the peace of the Republic. Jinn and Kenobi were to accompany him.

Episode Two takes place entirely on the archipelago planet of Ayar's birth: Anara III. This world and its creatures are completely of my own imagination. Any similarities with other's work probably stems from having dined on nothing but fantasy and sf since a tot. (i.e. the idea of a world of islands almost certainly was influenced by LeGuin's excellent Earthsea stories.) We are the sum of our diets---and mine was heavy in Star Trek, Dr. Who, Last Unicorn, Watership Down.... You get the picture?

The Jedi and the Galactic Republic are from the creative 'Force' that is George Lucas' Star Wars film saga. Don't sue me, sir. I swear on a stack of official Star Wars merchandise bought in stores that I am not profiting from this.

Nicholas and his 'Earth' friends/companions are the children of the tv show: Forever Knight.
Again, Mr. J.P., sir, in no way am I deriving anything more from these writings than pure emotional pleasure----financial profiting from another's work is reprehensible. I swear it on a much smaller stack (because you guys need to merchandise more stuff! More FK stuff, please!) of Forever Knight books and music cds.

Since I am using Mr. Lucas' and Mr. Pariott's character's in this, its only fair that I allow others to use mine. I only stipulate that you do me the courtesy I am doing those esteemed gentlemen and don't financially profit from my characters.

WARNING! There are scenes of abuse and of sexual connotation within this story. Whereas I have kept the graphic details curtailed, the context of the story required that I explain the *whys* of some of the characters' behavior. Of course, if you are a fan of either Star Wars, or Forever Knight, you will probably find both so tame as to make my warning laughable... ... but I'm sticking it in here anyway!

CLIFFHANGER ALERT! I tried--(really I did)---to have this complete in just two 'Episodes'. Unfortunately, the character's tended to run off at the mouth, so <sigh> expect an Episode Three sometime down the road. Please note that Episode Two is subtitled: ' Schisms ', and *not* ' The Joining ' as I had related at the end of Episode One.

My undead thanks go to Lisa Harvey, who not only brought her spelling and grammatical software to bear on this puppy, but has archived it on the CotK site despite the fact that LaCroix nary makes an *real* appearance. <g> Maybe *next* story, Lisa!
